Basic Make Up Application Tips & Tricks

Whether you are experienced in using mineral makeup or are a first time user, applying Purity™ Essential Minerals is an easy process that you will quickly and easily master. With a little practice, you’ll be creating your own customized look in seconds!
Applying Purity™ Essential Minerals
- Tap the mineral jar upside down a few times to sift the desired amount of mineral into the lid.
- Swirl the light application brush or kabuki brush into the lid of minerals, tapping the brush on its edge to remove the excess minerals. If using a kabuki brush, you can also tap the brush on its bottom.
- Buff the minerals, using a circular motion, lightly into the skin of your face, throat, chest, or anywhere you desire color or SPF protection.
- If you would like more coverage, repeat the process of layering the minerals into the brush by swirling and tapping, and then buffing them into the skin. Two layers are generally sufficient.
- Repeat steps 1-3 for applying your mineral blush. Then apply as you would other blush, across the apples of your cheeks and upward. For a sun-kissed look, apply lightly across the forehead and down the nose and chin. Also, if rushed for time, apply your blush on the tops of eyelids for added color and a natural look, in place of eye color.
- Repeat steps 1-3 with Flawless Finish. Flawless Finish will diminish the appearance of pores and fine lines as well as help to set your makeup and reduce shine. It can also be applied before your foundation and other makeup, to prime your face for long-lasting oil control and reduce the appearance of large pores.
Perfect Application Tips
Purity™ Essential Minerals do not contain cheap filler ingredients therefore they will go a long way. Begin with a small amount of minerals on your initial application and then layer the minerals in light layers to achieve your desired coverage.
Purity™ brushes are designed to give you the very best results when applying your minerals. You will want to use them to effectively push the minerals into your skin.
Troubleshooting Tips
"Cakey" or spotty appearance to minerals? When applying Purity™ Essential Minerals after a skincare product such as moisturizer or blemish treatment, you will want to make sure that they have completely penetrated the skin, otherwise you will get an over concentration of minerals in those areas.
Prefer a liquid makeup that is more moisturizing? Purity™ Essential Minerals can be blended with a small amount of your moisturizer and applied as you would a liquid foundation. This is easiest achieved if you blend them together in the palm of your hand with your finger prior to applying.
Oily T-Zone? To prime face for long lasting oil control. Tap a small amount of Flawless Finish into the lid of the jar or onto a tissue. For over-all oil control, apply finishing powder with a large cosmetic brush, and then apply foundation. For maximum oil absorption, apply with a cosmetic sponge before foundation application.
Dark Circles and Blemishes? Use the concealer brush (fan gently to loosen & soften new bristles) for coverage in areas you want to conceal more. Dab the tip of the brush into the mineral foundation, tap off any excess back into the jar, and then tap with the end of the brush into the areas you want to conceal.
