Hi! I’m Tonja Valdez, founder and CEO of Purity Essential Mineral Makeup™. I am also a licensed and practicing esthetician. Great skin and superior skin care products are as important to me in the treatment room as well as what my clients are using on a daily basis in their home care regime.
In working with a multitude of different skin conditions and a wide variety of women, a common factor became evident; we were using great skin care in and outside the treatment room. However, our clients were going home and using makeup that would undo all of the great results we had just achieved during their skin treatment. Therefore, we also needed great makeup -- a makeup that looked and felt beautiful without causing adverse side effects like acne and irritation and didn’t contain unhealthy ingredients. Mineral makeup seemed to be a great solution.
Our quest began and as we did extensive research on a multitude of mineral makeup companies, from the very small to the ones we’ve seen on television, we kept coming up with the same conclusion, the product that we wanted did not exist. All mineral makeups are not created equally and even the big name companies were using cheap filler ingredients that caused the very issues that we were trying to avoid.
